Overview
Everything about you — your public coach page, sign-in details, security, notifications, and how you get paid — lives under Settings in the sidebar. This guide walks through each tab in turn.
Settings covers your account. Anything that shapes what clients see — branding, pricing plans, social links — lives under Configuration instead.
1. Profile
Your public coach page. Go to Settings → Profile.
- Display name — Shown on your coach page and in emails.
- Handle — Your public URL.
- Headline — One line; aim for under 60 characters.
- Bio — A longer introduction. Markdown is supported.
- Specialties — Up to 8 tags, which help members find you.
- Links — One primary website plus Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Visibility — Choose whether to appear in the public Fytkit directory, and whether to display your member count on your page.
2. Account
Your sign-in identity and regional preferences, under Settings → Account.
- Email — Used for sign-in and member emails. Changing it requires confirmation via a verification link.
- Backup email — For account recovery only; never shown publicly.
- Phone — For SMS two-factor and urgent account alerts.
- Language, Time zone, and Week starts on — Regional preferences that affect how dates and schedules display.
- Measurement units — Applies to weights you author and what members see. Values are always stored in kilograms internally, so switching units won’t alter existing content.
- Connected accounts — Link Google or Apple to sign in faster.
Danger Zone
At the bottom of the Account tab are three permanent actions. Read carefully before using them.
- Transfer account — Moves ownership to another email. Members and revenue stay intact.
- Pause coaching — Members keep access to existing programs but can’t subscribe to new ones. Useful for a break without losing your audience.
- Delete account — Cancels every member subscription and your own, removes your content, and permanently deletes your account.
3. Security
Under Settings → Security.
- Password — Enter your current password, then a new one. Passwords must be at least 12 characters and should include a number and a symbol. A strength meter shows how your new password scores as you type.
- Two-factor authentication — Set up an authenticator app (1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator, and similar). The second factor is requested on every new device. 2FA is required for accounts processing payouts, so set this up before you start taking payments. Additional 2FA methods are marked Coming soon.
- Active sessions — Lists the devices currently signed in to your account, so you can spot anything you don’t recognise.
4. Notifications
Control where Fytkit reaches you, under Settings → Notifications.
- Channels — Turn Email and Push · web browser on or off. Web push shows in-tab notifications while you’re at the dashboard.
- Events — A grid of event types with separate Email and Web toggles for each, so you can route (for example) payment events to email and leave the rest off. Per-event toggles are disabled while the parent channel is switched off.
- Quiet hours — Set a From and To time (24-hour, in your local time zone) to pause web push overnight. Email is unaffected.
5. Plan & Billing
Your own Fytkit subscription, under Settings → Plan & billing. Switch plans at any time — mid-month changes are prorated. This tab also holds your Billing email, Billing address, and Tax ID for VAT/GST invoicing.
Note that this is what you pay Fytkit. What your clients pay you is set under Configuration → Pricing Plans.
6. Payouts
How you get paid, under Settings → Payouts. Your payout account, schedule, and Currency are established during Stripe Connect onboarding — see Setting Up Payments with Stripe to get connected.
- Tax ID on file — Your EIN or SSN, stored encrypted by Stripe.
- Business name — Used on invoices and 1099s.
7. Team
Adding assistant coaches and splitting work between them is coming soon. The tab is visible under Settings → Team so you can see what’s planned, but it isn’t active yet.
Tips
- Set up two-factor authentication before connecting Stripe — it’s required for payouts, and doing it first avoids being blocked mid-onboarding.
- Add a backup email early. It’s the simplest way to guarantee you can recover your account if you lose access to your primary inbox.
- Check your time zone before building programs — it drives how schedules and activity timestamps appear to you.
- If notifications feel noisy, turn channels off per event rather than disabling email outright, so you still receive payment and subscription alerts.
